In general
If you want to submit photos at Photo-Inspirations you may do so using the upload-function in the Usermenu. Everybody is welcome to upload photo's, however the quality-demands are high. Submitted photo's will be reviewed by a number of skilled photographers at Photo-Inspirations, the so-called "Sieve", before the will be published. Because we believe creativity is the foundation of quality we will especially take that criterium into consideration. Photo's that are highly creative wil be technically less harshly judged. Of course one can never absolutely exclude subjectivity but you can rest assured that we will avoid that by more or less giving creativity free rein. Standard imagery is judged more strictly. These kind of pictures have to be more or less perfect in order to be approved.
The criteria for publication
- The pictures must be demonstrable be made by the supplier
- The photos have to be innovatory, startling and creative! This is what comes first at Photo-Inspirations. Tive registration is seen all around on the net and that's why Photo-Inspirations wants to let creativity come first.
- The photo has to represent imagery that does justice to the photographic genres that are to be seen here and it has to do so in a way that pleases the photographer the most. Therefore it has to be a photo which belongs in one of the cagetories found here on Photo -Inspirations. That can be very broad, but members of "The Sieve" behold the right to determine what can and what cannot be considered a photo that belongs here at Photo-Inspirations.
- The technical quality should also be in good order unless it is the outspoken intention of the photographer to let technique be subsidiary to esthétique. There should be some compromise and off course we will deliberate with the autor in situations that may arise. Members of "The Sieve" always have the right to determine what is and what isn't suitable.
- When one violatres any law or regulation, moderators have a right to refuse a photo as well as delete it afterwards.
- It is not allowed to place a copyright symbol in the photo as well as any other text. Also there should there be no border around the photo. This is to be able to establish an honest examination of all photos.
- Measurements of a picture should be a minimum of 700 pixels and a maximum of 900 pixels at the bottom for horizontal photo's and a maximum of 800 with a minimum of 600 pixels at the left for a vertically oriented photo.
- And last but not least... The photo should add to the database of Photo -Inspirations. Whenever a photo appears that is more or less identical to a photo that has already present, members of "The Sieve" have a right to refuse or disapprove such a photo.
We don't want to give the impression that we stand above you as a photographer but as a driving force behind the site we want to ensure that your photo's are displayed in a quality-equal environment.
When one of your photos is rejected and you want to get clarification on this you can always contact any member of "The Seve" through our contact form in the menu on the top right menu bar.
Please note: aproval or rejection is determined by more than one person. Approval or rejection of your photo may take some time. A week is perfectly normal. You will always be notified of disapproval by means of a disapproval e-mail. As long as your photo is unaproved and you didn't recieve a disapproval e-mail, the photo is still pending.
